Telfair Academy -
A former mansion built in 1818 for Alexander Telfair, the son of a Revolutionary War patriot, this beautiful Savannah museum displays 19th and 20th century American and European art. With a focus on impressionism and realism, Telfair Academy presents paintings, works on paper, sculpture, and decorative arts. Jepson Center -
Devoted to the art of the day, the contemporary Jepson Center links Telfair's future with its past. This museum features a 7500 square foot gallery space for the permanent collection and major traveling exhibitions of contemporary art. The collection features works on paper by many pivotal artists of the past 50 years, including J Roy Lichtenstein, Jeff Koons, and Richard Avedon, as well as notable Georgia artists.
